This oneWait.... what Easter egger?
Ok. I thought an easter egger was the result of mixing a blue egg layer with a brown egg layer? This one. Her Dad is a purebred (clean faced) Ameraucana, and her Mom is an purebred Australorp.
Ameraucanas are blue layers and Australorps are brown layersOk. I thought an easter egger was the result of mixing a blue egg layer with a brown egg layer?
Oh ok, so you’re waiting for eggs so you can breed some EEs? Sorry I’m just so terribly confused.Ameraucanas are blue layers and Australorps are brown layers ☺
I can't figure out where we're losing each other! She's an EE because she has the blue eggs gene from her father, and the brown egg gene from her mother. I'm sorry if I'm confusing you!Oh ok, so you’re waiting for eggs so you can breed some EEs? Sorry I’m just so terribly confused.
I love this! She's closer than she's ever been!
Never heard of such a thing.(clean faced) Ameraucana
Did this we come without any of the floof on her face??? Anyway, she's more then due to start laying. I'm also waiting anxiously for my young chicks to start laying. Their also at that age.I feel like I've been waiting FOREVER for this sweet girl to start laying!! (EE eggs are the most exciting/anxious to wait for!). Her face turned red around two weeks ago, and I'm just so dang hopeful every time I walk down to the coop!

I guess I’m so confused bc the bird pictured does not look like an EE to me. It just looks like a regular austrolorpI can't figure out where we're losing each other!
