How long after you got your first egg did you get your second?

Didn't I read from someone's post that SILKIES lay when they want to or am I mistaken? I think a silkie is a totally different thing than a delaware or ANY OTHER BREED LOL! They are kind of in the light layer catagory. Just speaking from what I have read here.

I hope you find some answers! Lucky Duck (my 6 1/2 month old Silkie) laid her first egg, then NOTHING. Finally laid the second egg 18 days later, then skipped one day and has laid an egg a day since (for two weeks now).

18 days seems like a long time - hope she settles in to a better schedule for you. I am still waiting on Cora's second, but it's only been 5 or 6 days- I hope a few more people will jump on here.
