How long before I get an egg?

Yes they normally pace up and down the fence when they are going to lay. Often times they pace so much they wear out a little path.

All my coming 2 year olds layed 8 to 12 eggs each , so i would say you got more coming

None of our coming two year olds will lay that many eggs, we are lucky to get 4-6 from them at two yrs. Just depends on your peas and perhaps their "Lifestyle" as Zaz's seem to mature quicker than most.

I don't know why mine lay so early even my just Turing 1 year olds lay a couple eggs at the end of the season

so far my males have always dropped their trains before that happens so i have never gotten fertile eggs from them but this time i have some coming 1 June so i will get to see if any breed and give me fertile eggs at this young age,
