Hmm. At $1/doz I am practically giving them away already.
Ouch - well I personally like pullet eggs, they can feel like a more manageable portion when I just want a poached egg for lunch or something.

They are selling for a lot more than that around here. Maybe you could continue at 1.00 for the little ones, but crank up the price when those big eggs start coming. Our farm store is selling free range eggs for 3.75/dz, last time I checked.Hmm. At $1/doz I am practically giving them away already.
Yes it's Comets. I had 5 of them, 40 months later, 2 left.Amazing! Are the Comets the ones with the short life spans? I remember looking at some that were real high production but they burn out early. Don't remember if it was the Comets...
Mine are at that same age. You never know what size or shape you’re going to find. I don’t expect any kind of consistency for about 2-3 months.

I do 'pullets dozens'....6 'regular' eggs then enough pullet eggs to make a 'large' carton weight(24ozs). Then I don't have to change my price or accounting, just simpler for me that way.

I sought out the 18ct cartons specifically to make pullets dozens.Ah, good idea, thanks. I don't have any of those big cartons but I'll bet I can figure out something that will keep the customers happy.![]()
