I get a normal sized egg. I have a Sultan Bantam who has finaly started laying (3 so far).

That is the good news. The bad news (if you want to call it that) is that she has laid 3 fart eggs. All are about the size of a quarter or smaller, and has no yolk. Is this normal? When should she give me a normal sized egg for her breed? I am getting frustrated with her and her tenie eggs.

I just want to pick her up and tell her "You eat my food, you give me bigger egg!!!" I know she gets good food b/c all the other chickens I have with her are normal sized. Anyway, Murphy's law states that now since I have complained, and that I will get good advice from you guys, she will start pulling her load. Thanks in advance for your help.

Ok I've never had bantams, but I understand that they lay smaller eggs. It also depends on the breed. Hopefully someone with sultan bantams will chime in and answer your ?.

Well, she is a bantam, so her eggs are going to be smaller. I don't have bantams, but my standard fowl eggs started out small and over time have increased in size. (especially after that first molt)
