My condolences, this is so very heartbreaking and inexcusable. The sight of those little boxes where no sound can be heard is devastating.

This is in memory of all those little boxes that never find their way home.Homes where love was waiting. Even though you baby chicks were only here for a moment,we now know you existed and we all share the grief of your untimely passing.

Sweet dreams, little ones, you have not gone unnoticed.you have been found.

I'm so sorry to hear this. After reading all the horror stories about the mail, I think I will always get my locally. I can't imagine how bad you must feel. I'm so sorry.

It is sad that the post office can send chicks off to their doom i have heard stories of people ordering pet chickens and they instead get sent to a farm where they eat them i don't have a problem with eating my roosters but when someone just takes the chicks you paid for is when i get angry

I still will probably order online, but the feed store is a much safer option. But this stuff just happens sometimes. I don't know what I'm going to do for chickens. Meyer's stock is a lot lower, and my feed store is all reserved by now.

I am so very sorry to hear no one made it. That is devastating. I am expecting chick mail in may and now im even more nervous bc we live in the country and our mail never makes it up our mile long driveway. They leave amazon boxes just on the ground next to our mailbox and they just dont seem to care. I think I will be contacting the main sort facility here to see if I can pick them up there bc our PO workers are so rude.

I feel so blessed right now. I'm surrounded by people who I care about and who care about me. I told my wife that all my chicks died. About 1 hour later, I called my feed store to see if they had any chicks in stock. They said they didn't, so I figured I'd have to get some from somewhere later. My wife comes home at 7:00 with 12 chicks from the feed store (and she isn't very good with Poultry). She reserved some the second after we were done talking. My feed store doesn't stock many breeds, so I didn't even get close to what I ordered. But honestly, right now, that's not really bothering me. I just feel great that I have someone around me that cares about me and she is helping me greatly through this sad event. Here's a picture of the birds (sorry it's crappy)

Now here's what I ordered from Meyer
2 Blue Orpington pullets
2 Speckled Sussex Pullets
2 Silver Laced Wyandotte Pullets
3 Buff Orpington Pullets
1 Easter Egger Pullet
1 Barnvelder Pullet
1 Partridge Cochin Pullet
1 Black Jersey Giant Pullet
Total:13
Now here's what my wife got me
4 SLW Pullets
2 Golden Buff Pullets
2 Production Red Pullets
2 Black Australorp Pullets
2 White Plymouth Rock Pullets

As you can see, they're not very close. But I'm not even that bothered by that. I just feel so glad that I have great people in life like that.
