How long can chicks stay outside.

How long can chicks be out in regular conditions before going back to the brooder.

Mine are three weeks old and I let them out on a large dog kennel most of the day. I normally start doing this at about a week old, at least while the weather is good. If it’s chilly out I leave them in.

I would maybe wait a little longer. Make sure that you pay close attention to them outside.

5-6 hours. Stay at home when they are outside when they are that young.

Many factors. Are they safe from predators? Might it rain? If they do get chilled, is there a way or place for them to get warm? Are you or someone else keeping an eye on them so you will be aware if there is a problem? Are they fenced or otherwise confined* to a safe area? Do they have shade, feed and water? I would not put week-old chicks ouside unattended all day and hope for the best. They are babies.
