The fridge has been to full for the last couple of days, so i have had 3 days worth of eggs not refridgerated. Are they safe to give away?

Are they fertile, dirty, or have they been washed? I'd have no problems giving unfertile eggs away that were on my counter for three days, as long as they were pretty clean and had not been washed.

I keep eggs on my counter for longer than that at those temperatures and a little warmer and have never had a problem with fertile eggs developing. I always crack an egg in a separate bowl before I use it, and just have never had a problem with development. However, someone I respect a lot on this forum said she had seen some development at those temperatures. I can say in my experience, a fertile egg developing some at those temperatures has never been a problem, but I cannot say it will never be a problem.

If they have dirt on them, that dirt can hold bacteria which can enter through the porous egg shell. I don't worry about just a tiny amount of dried dirt, but if they are dirty enough that you would not give them away without washing them, I would not trust them too much.

Have you washed them? The eggs have a coating on them called bloom, that helps keep bacteria out. If you remove that bloom, either by washing them or sandpapering them, it makes it easier for bacteria to enter. And you may have pushed a bit of bacteria inside the egg when you washed it. If I wash an egg, I refrigerate it. They will usually last for several weeks or even months in the refrigerator even if washed.

My eggs are fertile, I store them on the kitchen counter, sometimes in 80 degree temperatures, and I give them to my customers. My customers have a country background so they are usually pretty familiar with farm fresh eggs. They are people we know at church. If they ever had a problem with my eggs, I think they would either stop taking them or tell us. So, as long as they were not washed, I would give them to my customers. I can't say everyone will respond this way.
