We recently separated one of our hens from the rest of the flock and cracked and egg and it was still fertile. She's been separated for about a week, outside coop, and it's a bit chilly but she's wintered well and is about 3 years old. I keep thinking it's around 10 days but with cooler temperatures do not know if it changes things. I have some bantams started today and still have a couple open spots. My general hatch rate has been steady during summer/fall at 4/6. Any input is appreciated!! You guys have been such a help-- and it's been 3 years and I finally feel like I'm getting the hang of it. I haven't done a winter hatch yet so this the only question I've really got left at this point.
