How long did it take before people were giving you chickens?

Here's one of the recent things I've been given (the hen timer):

And the real things in the kitchen:

People should know that if you're gonna give me a chicken, make it a real one!

BTW funny thing about that 2nd pic. The little thing on the floor is a rogue chocolate chip they found in a corner. They dimwits would pick it up, figure it's not food, turn around, forget it was there, "find" it again, and repeat the process all over. All 3 of them did it over & over.

Not the brightest bulbs.

I started my kitchen theme as baskets and fruits, sure think chicken stuff would blend in well with my hodge-podge.

We actually were given our first chicken themed item last week. My sister came to visit and brought a coffee mug with a hen on one side and rooster on the other.

I haven't received any chicken "things" yet, but I have been inundated with chicken greeting cards! Who knew there were so many? My b-day was back in Sept. and I got them then and my BFF sent me a funny chicken Halloween card!

I collect cows, so the only chicken things I get usually have cows in them also. However, this is my first Christmas with Chickens so we shall see. I'm not big on chicken items though, so they would probably end up in the barn.

My DH told me when I started this "Oh, now our house is gonna be full of chicken art!"

I was like, "what? no way, are you crazy?"

The next day I bought these from our local St. Vincent's ebay store:

Those measuring spoons are GREAT!
I have to admit, my kitchen was rooster themed long before I got chickens. I recieved chicken hand towels and pot holders as gifts last Christmas.
Come to think of it, my daughter gave me my 4 red sex-link chickens. So I guess I got the ultimate chicken gift- fresh eggs and Chicken TV
