So, I found bugs, not sure if they are mites or lice but I treated my birds with permethrin powder today. I will clean and treat the run/coop in the next few days ( can't get to it any sooner).
How long do I have to throw away the eggs. I read I neeed to retreat in 7 to 10 days. I may use a different product at that time.
Is there a standard waiting period after any pesticide application.
I prefer natural methods but after everything I have read today about parasite infestations in poultry, I don't want to waste any time. Once irradicated, I'll use more natural methods for prevention.
BYW-My run and coop are enclosed. I haven't added any new members to the flock. Where do you think the bugs came from?
