How long do they last....

I love that plan. I am sorta thinking about doing this as well because I want an "urban alarm system" for my chickens. Predators have killed off most of my flock over the last week. What I really want is a llama, but wife wont let me hahaha

Do you think the momma is going to set on the nest soon... they have 44 or more eggs in it, they where down there today, but they dont stay, they just lay more eggs?

Boyd - That would be good for ya to do.... thats sad about your chickens. Our neighbors guinea are always honking about something, I like to watch them... they look like the pac man ghost when they run.

Large air cells indicate age. A fresh egg should have virtually nothing. Hope ya find some keepers! Keets are cute, but handle em a lot so they don't grow up to be absolute whackjobs.

Lol, I went to a farm that had a dozen or so last week. To me they looked like those raptor dino's from Jurasic Park... and sorta sounded like them too.

I think you should go gather them up wrap each one in bubble wrap send me your paypal info I will send you money you send me the eggs and I will test them to see if they are any good
Problem solved

Put them in water a bit warmer than the egg.
If they float they are no good. Don't float I would incubate them!

Guinneas are wild as all get out. I am not able to catch mine now that we have moved....
ANYONE have any suggestions?
