How long does it take before you know boy or girl?

Im asking this because I recieved my babies from Ideal today and recieved as packing peanuts 6 light brahmas and they are beautiful little ones, however I don't want roosters but if one could possibly be a female I would sure like to know before rehoming them. They all have the same pattern but some are a little darker shades of grey or blackish on the backs, they have yellow feet and legs with feathering all the way down to the two toes on the outside and are the calmest of all the babies. Just kinda hoping for really early signs to help me decide whos who. After all sexing is only 90% right so I might get a girl? Thanks Sandy

You might, but chances are that all the packing peanuts are roos. They keep some little roos around for just that purpose.
I love my brahmas that came from Ideal.
At five and a half weeks old I was pretty sure I knew who were the extra roos (I order 2, got 5). By seven weeks I was positive and found a home for the extra three.
Are you really REALLY sure you don't want a roo?
I wish you lived closer. I could find a new home for your extras in a heartbeat.

Nope not sure, but its not really all that practical to have them in the city, but they are the prettiest chicks in the bunch, and so calm they enjoy you touching them hmmmm Im afraid if I kept them that long I wouldn't be able to resist keeping at least one. Im not going to kill them but I will have to find a place for them thats for sure! What age do they start to crow?

My original alpha roo started crowing at 10 weeks - he was an early bloomer. My other roo not until he was 15 weeks.
What I love about my brahmas more than anything is how calm they are.

Thanks maybe I can hold out that long! Hopefully they will be alittle slow with any kind of luck! LOL
