How long does it take to create an Olive Egger?

I am having trouble acquiring Olive Egger eggs, so I am wondering how long it would take if I started "from scratch"?

I have 6 Ameraucana chicks that are 2 weeks old. I have a Bielefelder Roo that is the same age? Would that cross work? As a newbie to hatching chicks, I am guessing that the eggs that are laid from that cross would be EE colored eggs, but that the chicks hatched from those egg

I would get something with darker genetics than a Beilefelder for your brown side of the equation - a nice Welsummer, Maran, etc. The resulting offspring would have the potential to produce the color of shell you are seeking. I do have one green layer from an EE/standard brown cross but she doesn't produce the nice, deep, rich olive color that most associate with being an "olive egger"
