How long does the Marek's vaccine last after I've mixed it??

Hi!
I am vaccinating my newborn chicks for Marek's today and I'm wondering ~ after I mix the live vaccine with the diluent, how long can I keep it?? I only have 7 chicks but the vaccine always sells in quantities for 1000 chicks. I have another batch of chicks coming next week. Will the vaccine still be good if I keep it refrigerated??

I think it is 20-minutes. I dont think refrigeration will help.

MD-VAC, CFL packaging states 1 hour longevity post mixing.

Use Of Vaccine For Subcutaneous Injection

IMPORTANT: Sterilize vaccinating equipment by autoclaving a minimum of 15 minutes at 250°F (121°C) or boiling in water for at least 20 minutes. Never allow chemical disinfectants to come in contact with vaccinating equipment.
1. Use a sterile automatic syringe with a 20 to 22 gauge 3/8” to 1/2” needle that is set to accurately deliver 0.2 ml per dose. Check the accuracy of delivery several times during the vaccination procedure.
2. Inject chickens under the loose skin at the back of the neck (subcutaneously), holding the chicken by the back of the neck just below the head. The loose skin in this area is raised by gently pinching with the thumb and forefinger. Insert the needle beneath the skin in a direction away from the head. Inject 0.2 ml per chicken. Avoid hitting the muscles and bones in the neck.
3. Use the entire contents of the vaccine container within one hour after mixing the vaccine with the diluent.

There should have been information with the product that would have the specific information for the exact product you have (different manufacturers often differe slightly on this sort of thing) - if you can't find it with the product I would visit the specific manufacturers site (you can often find a link on the site of where you ordered/purchased it from too) and read the guidance directly from them.

I'm in the same boat! I ordered Marek's vaccine for my chicks when they hatch but they don't all hatch at once so do I mix it and give it to the first ones or wait until I have everyone hatched and do them all? In the meantime, the ones hatched are now exposed and unprotected. I have Marek's in my flock and lost many chicks last year so I want to do better this time...
What does anyone think about waiting to do them all? At almost $40 with shipping, I can't afford to re-order and it only lasts a very short time (like hours) after mixing...thanks for your help!
