When we visited a local breeder we picked up 50 coturnix quail eggs. I can't remember for the life of me if he said 21 to 23 days or less. He had several kinds and we talked about so many things. Anyhow, I thought someone on here could help me out before I have to go bug him again! And is the humidity similar to chicken eggs?

Thanks!

16 days. Stop turning day 14 and wait.

I have 19 in my bator out of 45 due to hatch in a couple days.

With any egg as small as a quail egg it is wise to give them a little more humidity than chickens. It might not be a proven fact but being that they are so small the eggs are losing moisture more rapidilly than a chicken or other large eggs.
