I allowed my banty RIR to hatch three chicks. Now I'm giving the chicks to a family who want to start their own little flock and hand-raise the chicks. The chicks go today at age 6 days.
Typically how long will it be before she starts laying eggs again?
Do I need to be aware of any other hen behaviors that may prevent a return to egg laying (such as trying to go broody again) to make up for losing her chicks?
