How loud is a rooster crow?

I have an EE rooster who I can hear at least a mile away when he's outside. When he's inside I can hear him inside our house which is 50 yds from the coop. Love it. Oh yeah I'm hard of hearing too.

The crow is kind of nice once you get used to it.

i think it depends on the individual rooster. I have some that barely whisper and some that bellow and I have one that insists on starting at 3 AM and he's one of the loud ones!

During the day, earsplitting

At night..... sleep robbing, make you very crabby type of crazy

They are very nice from a long distance away.
