How loud is one Peafowl raised from a chick?

Their alarm call (which they use for literally everything... all the time) can be quite shrill. Doesn't bother me though. I imagine it probably bothers lots of other people.

I guess you could get a peacock if the noise doesn’t bother you, but getting just one probably isn’t a good idea.

People that have peacocks, can you clarify if it is ok to keep just one? Or are they flock animals like all other poultry?

Well, we don't have those here where I am located, San Francisco. I have a sound proof room that can reduce noise leak.

Peafowl are quite loud. They’re even louder when they’re unhappy because they are in a poor environment. And even louder when they are alone, because they will be calling for friends and feeling lonely and distressed.
