Has it been difficult to train your Retriever not to “retrieve “ your birds?

No, we got her a couple of months before we got new chicks, and we taught her to be gentle around them. She wont eat them or chase them, she isnt allowed to be in with them though. But other birds are a different situation

The first is Fritz, our Yorkshire terrier that passed (at 15) a few years ago.
The second/third is Fergus, our floppy-eared Yorkshire terrier.

(and to ShannonsChimkens, our little Fergus's "girlfriend" is a Cane Corso. They are a hoot! -reminds me and my hubby of the donkey and dragon from Shrek)
