How many acres for 55 chickens

I am wondering how many acres of land is good for 25 extra small bantams and 30 light standards. Right now, I have 5 acres of land. Is that enough for my chickens?

Actually, since they are bantams, this means strait run for them. So if some of them turn out to be roos, then i may have less that 50. Just to keep in mind Thanks!!

5 acres is plenty!!!! Lol, I live on two acres and I think it is huge!!!!! 26 chicks will be coming at the end of this month.

We are down to 49 chickens right now. Considering that the farthest I have ever seen them from their coop is about 100 feet, that would mean they are only roaming over about an acre of the 22 that are available to them. I think they spend more time in my garage than anywhere else on the ranch. Go figure.

Plenty plenty of room, just make sure with all that room that you can protect them.

What kind of predators do you have in your area?

They can be raised with the other animals. They don't have to be segregated. They love to follow cattle and root through cow pies.
