Oh my gosh. Should I get another coop for them? You guys, NO lol. I think the math is way off on this. First, the coop is IN the 150sq ft run so you have to subtract that from the run.
I’m assuming the entire prefab coop and run is 3x5. So the area that is enclosed from the elements is TINY ...like not really enough for the birds you already have....
Correct me if I’m wrong about how you are measuring.
Yes, usually 3 sleep inside. And 3 sleep on top of it at night if it’s warm and not raining. Should I force them to sleep inside? On top of the coop like on the roof out in the open?

That what I was thinking too. They should be going in. Ok def get a bigger coop or build another. That's what I'm seeing, too. @Halfpasthen . I think that sleeping area, minus the nesting boxes and front enclosed run, is about 1.5 x 3', and the reason birds are roosting on top is because it is too small. It is about right for 3 hens, no more.
Hens need to be inside, locked up safe from owls, raccoons, dogs and other predators. And that outer fence needs to be strengthened.Voices of experience here! Good luck!
If theres room yes. I wouldn't let my girls roost in the open. Alot of predetors at night.Yes, usually 3 sleep inside. And 3 sleep on top of it at night if it’s warm and not raining. Should I force them to sleep inside?
Ok, I’ve been thinking about building my own. Do you have any plans for larger coops? That's what I'm seeing, too. @Halfpasthen .
