How many chickens can you have?

The rule here is 6 maximum, all hens no roosters. I currently have 3 but would like a couple more.

I wonder if majority of people follow the max rules, so if its 35 around you, I wonder how many people have more then 35.

we live in the middle of the city, the most that many of my neighbor have is 10. I am really wonder why the number is that high.

I have 13 chickens. I don’t think there’s a limit by me though. I just have as many as can fit in the housing (with 3.5 feet per bird, is that to small?) and 60 feet in the run each.

Our laws state that you may have 4 pets. It doesn't matter (sort of) what they are as long as there is only 4. No roosters, as they are considered exotic animals, however you can keep hens.
Now, here nobody pays any attention to these rules and they keep what they want until someone complains.
We actually had a camel in someones backyard in my neighborhood about 30 years ago, until someone complained. Then he had to be boarded at a horse barn.
To answer your question, I have more than 4 hens.

What about nesting/food/water. Lost space. Mine is about that size, though they only use it for sleeping, nesting, and eating.

How many chickens can I have? As many as I can get before my husband wanders into the coop and starts counting.
