New chicken owner here.
Have three Isa Browns around 2-3 years old given from a friend.
Built a chicken coop 60 square feet with a couple nesting boxes that would fit a few birds, and perches are around 12 feet total. There is a run which is another 170 square feet worth.
With this in mind, would five chickens in total be ok? It gets fairly warm here in summer maybe around 90-100 regularly and up to 115 during a heatwave so I want to make sure they aren't too crowded.
I'll probably have a follow up question on what type of chicken but will post that in the right section.
Thanks all for your advice up front.

Yes, assuming there isn't something weird about it (like super long and narrow, for example).

Having ways for them to get out of sight of each other is helpful, even with space, But it is much less important when they aren't crowded. Clutter is the term to search for on this website if you want ideas.

@rosemarythyme the coop is mostly mesh on the sides with some timber near the perches so rain can't get in, roof is corrugated iron. There are some trees around it so it keeps fairly cool and is a bit sheltered.

@saysfaa they would probably be within sight unless they are in nesting box or hiding either side of the trees. So far they seem to always congregate together anyway, resting in sun on cold day and digging a bit in the dirt in the shade on hot day. Will check out clutter.
