I just got 16 ducks they were my father's. He passed away before the hurricane . I have raised chickens but never had ducks before. Also, I have no idea what kind they are. There's a mixture of them I'm assuming cuz they're all different colors. I will be reading a lot of info on y'alls threads to learn. My 13 year old son is so excited. He had to hold them and name them. They are very skittish. I hope they come to like thier new home. I don't think they have had much interaction with people.

It isn't too late to get them adjusted If your son is sweet to them and interacts with and feeds them every day they could grow to like people ! I'm so sorry about your dad

Fawn and white indian runner, (brown and white ones), Blue Swedish, (gray and white) Pekin-Pure White, Mallard or Rouen hard to tell from pic (green head), and Buff Orpington (duck in the very back and one next to the blue Swedish in the front.) Looks to be about 4-5 drakes in there.

right now i only have two ducks, (both blue Swedish ducks), i was supposed to get some more this fall but that did not happen. there my profile pic, there names are quackers and nibbles.

i am looking at get some more ducks this coming spring for them so they have more friends.

My son is doing well with them. He pust them up at night so nothing tries to eat them. He was gone to his dad's one weekend and I tried putting them up and they would not even comeout of the pond for me. So I called him because his dad lives right down the road thank goodness and they came over and put them right up made me look like a fool. They came right to him. Lol
