On the ID, I went by the color, looks, and color of the bottom of her feet.
but then, I did not take into account a possible hybrid.
No biggie. main thing is they are doing well and producing eggs

EXACTLY! Which is why I wasn't bent out of shape when my "Ameraucanas" from Ideal turned out to be Easter Eggers. They have exactly the qualities I wanted:
1) Lay blue or green eggs (got both)
2) Winter hardy (check)
3) Good layers (~ 5/week each on average since they started - check)

Heck, at the time I didn't know there WAS a difference between Ameraucana and EE because it is SO confused at the hatchery sites with many of them claiming Ameraucana when none of the chicks they sell would meet the APA standards for the breed.

7 today and yesterday, our weather has been all over the place too! Couple of days in the 40s then some rain and add in a snow day today! Tomorrow and Sunday supposed to be 50s so we are getting to work on our temporary coop. We are adding 6 red sex links from the same people that we got our buff Orpingtons from. Splitting the running half until they all get along, I hoping it doesn't take too long. The newbies are 18 weeks old.

20 big brown ones from our 22 BSL's. There have been some really large eggs that came in the past few days. I've got at least 3 dozen eggs in the fridge that are all jumbo-sized eggs. I've gotten several that are extra jumbo but they go in my omelettes. They wouldn't fit in a carton anyways and be able to close the lid.

Well, today, Austra laid her second egg.
SO were 3 eggs today.
she laid hers in the second nest. Last time it was in the first nest with the others.
Don't know why, and I hope it changes, but her eggs are elongated.
between the three, I get three different length eggs.
And two are different shade, hers still white
looked almost pinkish, might have been the light.
