I just found this flexible shelled, not fully formed yolk in the nest boxes. Is this someone's first ever egg or am I developing a calcium problem? I have 3 from 6 that have just started laying 3 weeks ago, hoping that today's egg is a practise one

They also do it if they have been disturbed. Did you clean their coop or did they get chased by an animal?

I got an egg like this a month ago from my pullets, only one , no repeats. May be just a fluke.
