Got an egg today! Six days after we bought our jersey giant and amerucana pullets we got an egg.
We bought 2 11 month old black sex links.
Great looking pullets.
Hoping the new chickens don't mess up the egg production we just finally got from our jersey giant.

My girls are doing really good. My old barn didn't have electricity, and after such a hard winter, my girls got frostbite and I was only getting 1-3 eggs per day. We just moved, and they are staying in the garage, which has electricity. So I have been spoiling them with a heat lamp. I only run it during the day, but since it has been on they are laying eggs like crazy and their frostbite cleared up.

I have yet to see my Black Sex-Links and Barred Rocks lay.
