How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

4/8

Ok so i have been getting a brown spot in three eggs (i will take a pic the next time it happens). the eggs came from different days so im guessing they come from one chicken. It looks like a piece of shell, but it isn't. I cooked and placed in compost in-case it was an unhealthy thing to give back to the chickens. Any ideas? Safe to eat? Safe to feed back too chickens? Any help is always appreciated

it's called a "blood" or "meat" spot. It's all edible.

I've been getting 6 eggs a day. Found my amber-link pullet in the nest box today "practicing". She'll be 22 weeks tomorrow. I expect her and one of the other pullets to start laying by the end of the week.

I look at it this way; it's all either part of the chicken or part of the egg.
I eat both chicken and eggs, so.....
