How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

3/3 today! My BR's turned 8 months old today as well!One of them though appears to be having difficulty with laying an egg that isn't speckled. The other two are laying normal light brown eggs, the third lays eggs that are mottled with white streaks or dots!

omg I have an EE that lays eggs JUST like that pinkish egg! =D

My little Cream Legbar laid her egg in the hen house nest boxes today even though I brought this huge community nesting box that she was using in the shed, over to the Hen house, it was so heavy!

I have not even seen her try to fly out of the run to go to the shed to lay her egg since I clipped her wings. Oh well, I stapled feed bags to the top, so it can double as a snow viewing area, it's in front of one of the big windows, and I'm sure some of the other hens will eventually find it nice to visit the community box. It's much roomier. I originally built it because I saw 3 hens with a 4th trying to get in and all lay their eggs together in one box....LOL It was a faulure...they still like cramming into one standard size nest together. My only user was the Cream Legbar pullet.

All 4 of my new layers laid before noon today and since the first egg was seen last Thursday I've gotten 21 total from those four with the first layer - my Aussie - laying 8 out of 9 days and the last 7 straight!

Someone is trying to impress dad/honorary head rooster (me). And it's working.
