How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Thanks for the advice on the scales. We have a harbor freight near. I will get a scale soon. We had 13 eggs when my daughter checked them at 11am. Headed out to see how many more.

I use a small piece of paper towel to keep the egg from rolling off the scale.

13 but since that is an unlucky number I broke one. Haha. Not really I did drop one while trying to lay it down though so I brought 12 in the house.

3 eggs from 3 hens that lay

my girls are still going strong in the winter and I am so proud of them. I have one hen named Pickles that stopped laying after a raccoon attack in September. I am hoping she will start to lay again in the spring. But right now three of my four hens lay so I was happy to get 3 eggs today.

Bottom egg: My buff orpington Haddie who is 10 months old and started laying 5 days ago (she was a late bloomer)
Top left: My barred rock Layla
Top right (green egg) : My Easter egger Dinking.

Another chicken that has a nice colored egg is a welsummer which has a reddish brownish egg with speckles and if you order 3 chicks you can get them from my pet chicken. Just thought I'd let you know
