How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

9 today and 1 of my Black Penedesenca Eggs hatched today! Tomorrow is day 21 for them. 1 other has a tiny pip & another is rocking. I set 9 black Penedesenca eggs & 1 olive egg.

4/4 for the second day in a row. That makes 18 so far this week with 1 day to go!

It had been a long dry spell!

FIVE! I've only been getting 1-2 every other day from my hens! I got 5 eggs from 6 hens and 3 duck hens so not too bad

The babies I didn't get any yet but think my one girl is getting ready to lay again so could end up with total of 6 eggs today

Lucky you, your ducks are laying?? Mine have not started back yet, they stopped at the end of December. What breed do you have? Mine are Cayugas.

Surprise,Surprise, Surprise....(think Gomer Pyle).....I wade out to the coop this morning to see if my girls had turned into ducks and they had a surprise for me! The Red Comet (Lala) and White Leghorn (Chunk) were hanging out on their ladder in the M.A.S.H. tent, the floor of the tent apparently developed a river running thru it yesterday during our 24 hrs straight rain/sleet storm. So my best friend and I grabbed some rakes and started to repair the dirt floor and refasten some of the tent material that had blown loose. The nesting box (rubbermaid tote) looked like it had "floated" over a couple of feet, when I moved the tote to reposition it back where it belonged look what I found!

Woo Hoo!!!!!! So by this evidence Chunk has been laying for about a week, and Lala started back 2 days ago! We haven't even been checking the tent for eggs! So if I count their 1 day contribution , today we are at %100 production! 9 eggs from 9 hens! All four Red Comets and all five leghorns laid an egg in the last 24 hours! Woo Hoo!!!!

Not bad considering the cold and wet lousy weather we've been having! To be on the safe side I've already boiled those eggs and will mash them up in their salad greens tomorrow.

I LOVE FINDING SECRET NESTS!!!!!!

I hope your weather improves soon, how miserable that the mash tent had a river running through it....LOL...love the references!!!!

I'm dumbfounded by my haul today... Either my 2 lost hens came back or two of my ladies decided to give me eggs 2 days in a row... I am leaning to the hens working double time... Ghost eggs are creepy

I got only 5 today!! But it's hit another cold snap here- but I have almost 96 eggs in the incubator-so I'll have a house full of babies soon

WOW!!!!! That is a lot of eggs incubating!!!! You must have a really nice big bater?

3!! Been getting 2 because of the cold. But my speckled Sussex/white leghorn pullet laid her first egg! Pretty shade of oink

12/23 on Thur, it is 1:00 a.m. and it is -13* F out there. Hope all my peeps are staying warm.
