If it were not for this site, most of us would bore our friends and family to death with chicken talk. Thank God for this site!Still trying to figure out how to navigate the site. Quite frankly I'm tickled pink to find so many people on here who understand my OCD. And am super stoked to get my new girls. I have a few people who are willing to buy eggs and I love giving them to my family as little "gifts". But am always open to a good barter too. Lol
Sounds like broody-ville to me! What breed is she?6/7 today... Wow... Wouldn't be surprised if one was trying to go broody though... I found one trying to hide her egg under the old truck bed linner I put out there to give them a eagle/hawk hide... She hissed and barked at me when I moved her.

I've never heard of Black Penedesenca chickens, so I looked them up. They sound like a really great breed to have! They are suppose to be good layers, are you finding that to be true?
