05/10 - 17 month olds (molting?)
12/13 - 22 wk olds

Saturday total= 17/23

6 or 8, I lost count..LOL! I brought them in at different times throughout the day. I was busy checking on the eggs in the brooder that are on day 21 now. So far 2 have hatched and a third has pipped. 6 more to go!

7/8 but I think one that laid today went broody afterwards. She was in the box for at least 3 hrs before I lifted her (thinking she was having issues) found her egg and three others! Naughty girl.

4 eggs from the control group

2 eggs from the free range chickens

Temp 100 F degrees and windy most of the day

Oh were the chicken's active and noisy all day

You must be right 4 of them look like they went to shredder machine.

I got 8/8 again! That's 2 days in a row and 3 days this week! I am shocked because it's has been in the high 90s with a heat index over 100 the last few days! I was so pleased they got half a mellon... so I'll probably get 3 eggs tomorrow for giving them treats.
