How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

8 today, 1 of which was a blue egg, so I added it to the incubator. I now have 10 eggs of my EE rooster in their. I am trying to hatch out his replacement, since it doesn't look like he is going to recover from whatever caused him to get wry neck.

How staggered are they? Adding eggs can be problematic unless you have a separate hatching unit to facilitate the different conditions needed by eggs ready to hatch vs eggs still days out.

I just started the original eggs at about midnight Saturday night, they are only about 16 hours apart. i don't plan on putting in any more due to the potential problems with a staggered hatch. I figured this 1 was close enough in time to be ok. Thanks for the information though.

Only 2 today. I decided to close off the tiny old coop and make the ladies use the "chicken palace" we just finished. I know Big Bertha wants to lay, but she doesn't want to use the new nest boxes.
