How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

5 today, pretty early in the day too. 3 were in the nesting box this morning, and 2 were really early afternoon. Egg songs all around today too which was even more awesome!

11/14 I think I have a new layer. Got a cute banty sized egg with no yolk in it.

Chickens are 4/6, but my turkeys are 2/2.

8 today.
Texas seemed better tonight! He was holding his head up & was in a correct upright position with both feet under him! I gave him his vitamins and got him to drink out of a plastic cup. Goofy thing was putting his whole head in the cup. He was getting wet up to & sometimes over his eyes!! I thought he was going to drown himself. I also added a handful of chicken feed to the water so that it was very runny and he ended up eating/drinking most of that. It took him well over an hour... but he actually has food in his crop tonight. I checked him all over for mites ( a friend called & said that a rooster he got from me a month or so ago has/had mites). I've never had experience with them before, so was having to look up information on them. I didn't see anything that looked suspicious. But his left ear is still very swollen. You can actually see the ear canal/ear hole. I don't think that is normal, but I don't know for sure. You can see the right one also, but the left is much more swollen and visible. I have sooo much to learn. I ordered "Chicken Health for Dummies" before all of this began, I think it needs to hurry up and get here!! I'm going to research ear infections in chickens & see what the symptoms are.

I can finally say 4 out of 4! woohoo!
After the laying issue I had with Madam Poppy being eggbound with her first 2 eggs (epsom salt steam bath and lubrication sorted that out) she has given me an egg a day since for 7 days now. Shes a machine! lol

5 today. Still waiting (patiently) on the other 5 to start laying.

28 eggs Monday.

It is too rainy now to go out and gather today's eggs. I will collect eggs later. It may be tomorrow.

11 eggs so far today so I'm super excited about it! One was from my bantams probably the barred cochin as I think she's the only one laying so far in that group and she's laying like a champ barely missed two days in almost three weeks.

I thought I only got 3 eggs, but then I was burning brush and I found a nest with 5 brown eggs. I'll have to float test them because I only have 2 brown egg layers out of that group, so I'm not sure how long some of them have been there!
