How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Well it happened. My four ladies have stopped producing. This might be a response to our single and below freezing temps last week. The last three days have been empty.

Yes, her eggs were nice. I'm not sure why she died, she didn't appear to have any injuries and she was fine all day up until roosting time. No mites, worms, etc. We heard a few chickens have died so far this year from cancer in my state, but she was young and healthy. So I'm puzzled.

I have ducks that have just started laying. In the past 5 days I've gotten 4 eggs. Obviously they were laying 1 egg/day but skipped a day. I have 7 runner hens and 1 Pekin hen. I think it's 1-2 runners that are just starting to lay.

Congratulations to everyone getting their first egg/eggs from their girl/girls!! It's always SO exciting!

Love hearing the eggs everyone's getting...so interesting!!

I've lost track on where I was...lol

17th - 2 eggs
18th - 1 egg
19th - 1 egg
20th - 2 eggs
21st - 1 egg
22nd - 4 eggs

New green eggs and tan/pink eggs. I think the smaller pink eggs are Silkie eggs. It appears the July/August chicks are starting to lay. 4 hens I know for certain, possible 3-4 I don't know out of 25.

Waiting/hoping for my ONE black pullet to start laying, if she hasn't already. Can't wait to incubate those!

12/20!!!! First time they layed well after a week of 5 or less eggs per day!

earlier today I ad an even dozen went out again to check in and lo and behold 2 more both on the floor but in the coop medium darker brown 14/16 I assume this may be final till I go our about 9:30 turn off the white light fore night, still have 2 Brahmas not quite there as all my birds are less than a year.

I cannot believe it. I had to bring them in out of the blizzard and my Daisy still laid an egg. Despite living in a basement hall way! That's 1 for 3!
