Coop 1, 5 out of 13. coop 2, 1 out of 2.Need more LF Cochins in #2!Waiting for hens to brood or buy more. lolol

It's kinda funny I do really spoil the birds wanting to do best for them, they have a really cool coop lots of shavings. the yard is getting moved so they have new ground to decimate about the time it is shot maybe where they are now will come back although they are under trees so it does it matter?. I am always buying them vegies or treat blocks I have a full garbage can of cracked corn, I really do want to do best for them I just don't really know one from another they all squat for pets. if all else fails I can turn the coop have it face a different way

My pullets started laying on Monday (yay!). Today we set our record: 3 eggs/9 birds. It is supposed to be warm and sunny this week, so I hope to see them get more consistent.

37/37 +5 and 8/10. Got five xtra eggs from coop 1.
Sudden death of 3 more.
Still batlling with cocci. I think am taking the local treatment style of veniger and some herbs, and had to cleanup the coops again. Ampro seem to be a waste.

I am so sorry for your continued loss of birds as there are actually 4 strains of cocci
I believe you may be treating more than one of them.
My rescue gsd managed to get locked in our
brick pump house and put a whole in the gut of one my new bard pullets. I am not torn up
but was downright po'd with the fact she did it, it was not chewed it had
one whole in the gut but at 3-5 days old the pullet expired.

Temp 64F degrees and cloudy all day nut no winds

1 Russian Orloff chick hatched

I put 8 eggs in the incubator from the free range chickens


Yep I got a neighbors kid to climb under and get 19 eggs and he said there were more eggs but I said just leave them as the chickens believe it was safe to put the eggs in the nest and it was best to let the chickens believe so ....


I chose 8 of the eggs to put in the incubator and I had collected another 8 eggs from the Molted Houdan's to also put into the incubator so I hope Easter is a good day for hatching eggs ....
