Yesterday - 10 eggs One was a soft shell egg. I finally know what everyone is talking about now.

6 eggs from the control group

+ one that was broken

3 eggs from the free range chickens

The crows must have had a field day wile I was away

2 eggs from the geese

I think I will let them start a nest

82F degrees but cooling off in the evenings with mild 20 MPH winds

Up date she is still waiting

But she looks content

This is the new additions for the week and one more RO is working it's way out

And These two are still hard at work

I have been reading about this problem in several different trends so you are not the only person having this problem

When my hen layed an egg out in front of the nest boxes I started placing a golf ball in each nest. That worked, and to this day there's a ball. It helps them not get upset when their eggs are taken.
