How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Thanks for the well wishes TJordan! The broodies eggs are fertile, but they're the questionable line so I took their eggs away and gave them some of the Easter Egger's eggs. The first two got 3 eggs each and the last Silkie (I was right, she is full on broody) got 4 eggs 'cause she's a bit bigger. Just about killed me taking away their eggs, I guess I'd been busy and 3 eggs had already started to develop.

Everybody's eggs are marked so there's no mix ups. I lift the broodies up a couple times a day and take out the excess eggs...lol.

Can I plant rosemary in my chicken run? I was thinking I could put wire around it till it stabilizes and to keep the girls from eating the whole plant. It would add another constant green in thier yard well also providing an area to hide/play.

Thank some 2"x4"s and build a square then stretch some hardware cloth over it. Place this over your "chicken garden" area. I'm going to plant deer clover.
The hardware cloth allows your plants to grow and chickens can nibble but not tear up the roots.
