3 for 3 again today. 1 dark brown, 2 light brown. That makes 41 for Shadow since 2-26, 32 for Lucy since 3-5 and 23 for Roxy since 3-14. Keep 'em coming, girls.

Got almost all of the ladys producing eggs in one day

Can I plant rosemary in my chicken run? I was thinking I could put wire around it till it stabilizes and to keep the girls from eating the whole plant. It would add another constant green in thier yard well also providing an area to hide/play.

My experience was the chickens dug it up not so much eating it ..

7/15 so far today. One was completely shell-less. Found the egg but not even a bit of shell or membrane.

Went back out and found 3 more so 10/15 so far

Thank you, Gander. I thought it would be a good idea to try to keep up with the amount each hen laid. This way, I can decide if I want to stick with one or two breeds or too keep a variety with the 3-4 I currently have. (Black Australorp, Rhode Island Red, Barred Rock and a soon to be laying Buff Orpington)

Now that the days are getting longer 7/7 every day. I sold 3 of my girls from last year (they weren't a fit for the flock and they went to someone I know).
