How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Got another GIANT golden comet egg today!!
Also a mystery egg. As all 5 golden comet eggs are accounted for, can't be EE or GC. Had 2 black australorp eggs and this mystery egg is not the 3rd BA layer...perhaps buff FINALLY? But no guarantee until we spot her.

I forgot to mention yesterday that 1 of my month old chicks disappeared. Momma Barred Rock and the 6 chicks like to duck under the gate and go out to the tall grass in the yard to free range. I am thinking a hawk probably had chicken for lunch. It was one of the 3 buff orpingtons that disappeared, they are very visible, whereas the 3 EE chicks blend into the surroundings a lot more. I did look all over the place for her but never found even a feather, let alone a lost or dead chick.

Question??? I have 20 hens and about 12 pullets that are 5 to 6 monthes old. I have 20 nest boxes. Could the older hens be keepibg my pullets out of the boxes to lay?
