How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Quote: Ohhhhhk...new layers.
I have a couple new layers that stand out and I've noticed they're laying nearly everyday.
The few others new girls must be hit and miss because I some of the new are laying blue, while others are laying green/olive eggs.
I don't see any of the blue eggs like I did.
A few of the year olds are everyday. I had one start up and then quit again, but that's ok because I'd want to hatch her eggs.
She's the only one with tiny spikes on the end of her egg.
The only bird I've had start laying steady was last year's female guinea.
When she started, she laid everyday without fail. She missed only a day, maybe 2 out of the whole year until I stopped gathering from her this late fall.
I assume she's still laying...I let her out too early to know now.

8 so far! Got our first soft egg this morning on coop floor (don't count that one). Think new layer and possible buff.
In addition to this: we sold 3 1/2dozen eggs this morning!! Gosh feels great:) sell of course to my parents
(1 1/2dozen so far). But selling to outside the family is so amazing. Also a former teacher comes out once a wk to drop paperwork off and she bought 18 eggs Friday.
***ended up with all 11 laid today:)***

Well, I though my new layer was egg bound. Swollen vent and such. I took her into the bathroom for a nice warm soak and before I get the water going.... kerplunk..... green egg falls into my tub!!!

Still looks swollen. I'll watch her.

You felt something was wrong and followed your intuition.
Sounds like you made a good call. Nice job!!
