How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Sunday

2 eggs found, my French molten Houdan's haven't produced an egg in four days I think them lades are on some kink of strike .

Temp 94F degrees with a light 5 MPH wind most of the day .

I had a cat harassing my flock for several weeks now but I solved the problem with that particular one with a .22 pistol at 63 feet and yes I got out the measuring tape and counted it off with a neighbor and my eyes are not what they use to be as the poor little kitty jumped and ran just over 10 feet and then took a long nap but now I can get some sleep with out the geese making noise all day and night .

Never happy to have to do things like this but the people in the surrounding area are or seem to be keeping their dogs at least secured but the wild cats or homeless cats still bother my flock time to time but such is life .

I hope all had an enjoyable weekend

Alright so only one is still missing that is not good but better then all of them staying away and that means there is still hope .

It really takes a little wile for the free ranging flock to realize that there are boundaries as my flock six years ago would range all over but after a few losses the flock just stay in the yard even with the gate open but then there is no water or food outside the fence except in the spring for three to four week when the desert flowers grow but that is about it .

Cold, wet and windy, yesterday. Cold and windy today, 46 Fahrenheit now, was 37 at 5:30 this morning. Blondie clucked "it's too cold and windy to lay". So I only got 4/5 today.
Maybe later it'll warm up and the wind will subside and Blondie will lay a JUMBO egg. :) GC update found another this afternoon 5/5

Ok guys. A little help. Usually if I have a hen start laying she will go strong as soon as she starts. Last week I got my first 3 green eggs but since then nothing. Zilch. Not an egg to crack. No shells. I am out there all the time so nothing is steeling them. Any ideas??? Just a young girl learning?? Egg bound??? What???!!!

I was getting a bunch of blue eggs. Now I'm getting green eggs...lol.
I don't read too much into it simply because I've got too many to keep track of since they're all kept together.
I don't know if mine all start strong. Some do, some don't.
I'm kinda going by last year where the laying didn't start back strong until mid Novemeber.
I usually only worry about egg bound if I can visually see something.
But I've only had deal with a broken egg inside and not egg bound.
I'm not sure if this was much help, but that's how I look at it.

Thanks guys. This is a brand new layer. It was her first eggs. That's why I was wondering. Idk. I guess I'm just wanting eggs.... these little fluff butts are teasing me bad. In the last week I had 3 green eggs, lots of faces going red and waffles dropping and NO eggs from my 9 that have been laying for a year. No eggs for 4 months
