We are an hour south of Cleveland, I guess you guys get it first then it will hit us. I think we're considered zone 4.

I got 9 eggs from my hens today, slowly but surely they are laying more as spring is getting closer and the weather is warming up..

27 eggs today

Yep, I found a hidden nest on the side of the house where no chickens are. A lot of the hens from the main yard like to slip under the fence and go free range in the woods and the rest of the yard ( the part that actually still has grass!!

). I found 15 eggs in that nest!!! I had thought that production was down in that barn because I have 2 broodies in there. I guess the other hens got tired of those 2 "favored" nest boxes being occupied and so moved there egg laying elsewhere. All of the eggs passed the water test, but I won't put them up for sell. I'll either use them or feed them back to the chickens.

We had lots of squawking going on from the grow out coop and
9 chicks and my 6 month old Pyrenees freaking them out
so sure it made a impact 9 of 18 today

Im zone 6B, much milder climate than zone 4...yet here we are having similar conditions! Lol
