HELP! My chickens are broken 8/14...and apparently my duck is too! Her egg is the dirty white one next to the chicken egg! Lol. She is SLOWLY coming out of molt. I find anything from jelly slime, shell less eggs, soft shell eggs, and these tiny eggs now.
Im putting my duck in charge of hiding the easter eggs this year...she is great at it! I thought she hadnt fully recovered from molt yet...to my surprise, she had TWO nests hidden. First one was under yard cleanup waste sitting by the burn pit. It had 2 eggs in it. The second was in the dog house they ( her and her mate) shared with our dog until he passed away last august. They havent slept in there since. That was a 6 egg discovery. Also, hubby found a large weak shelled one in the burn pit yesterday. He put his finger through it when he picked it up.

That girl is not broken at all... she has been plenty busy!!!
She normally doesnt do nests, just drops egg wherever she is standing, then moves on. The only 1 time she made a nest was when she tried to hatch them, in winter in the burn pit! Ugh, hope she isnt trying that again
