4/6 today from the older girls, 4 from the pullets. We have a lot of chaos in the chicken yard right now with 2 - 6 mo. old roos trying to establish dominance and dealing with hormones, and the pullets are challenging the older girls for a shake-up in the pecking order. Today was filled with chases, confrontations and outright brawls. I think it is affecting the layers some.
This may not be the right thread, but since I mentioned it yesterday, I added a pic of the "Olive Egger" and her egg from yesterday. I understand the F1 offspring from an Ameraucana/Black Copper Marans have a chance to lay blue, brown and green eggs. Maybe that is what we have here. She's a wonderful girl so we are not disappointed.
