How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Was 45F at 5 a.m. OUCH. Autumn is in the air. Had to close the windows.
Both nests were occupied at 5 this morning. My girls can't wait to get the days chore done.
5/5 today. GC

3 for 3! The RIR and Barred Rock (baby picture to the left) have been laying for about two weeks now. The Australorp finally decided it was time to enter the big-girl world. Woot!

Still maxing out at 3/5, perhaps two are broken? They did have a ruff start during shipping as day olds.

Found out why the egg production is "down." One of the girls has decided to use the shed as a nest box there's6 or 7 eggs in there

Think I'm going to add another box to the coop tomorrow, spoiled brats will all have their own by the time this over.

I hear ya! We added 2 more boxes yesterday and one of the bratty older hens rolled the pullet eggs out of one of them today.

We got a new egg today from another "Olive Egger". This egg is a really light tan, barely tinted. I'm suspecting that what was sold to us as OE's are something else. I may post a pic of bird and egg to see what you all think they are.
5/6 from the older girls, pullets 5/10.

6 eggs today. I have 36+ birds but many are not old enough to be in lay yet & some are retired.

@GardenTillers44 they are so funny sometimes! My girls all had their spots. I didn't even insist my girl who nests on the floor in the corner use a box. Now they're all using all the places and apparently arguing over it. such drama
