We don't usually do not get home that late as we are disabled and retired but have never had it that cold here normally we do not have temperatures in the low 30's

We like the seasons. That and family brought us back to Ohio. You are in a wonderful area. We spent most of a summer living in a campground near Randle. The 4th of July fireworks celebration was epic with the booms rolling through the mountains seemingly forever.

@GardenTillers44 I think dominiques would be a great breed to mix with your wellies and ameracunas, don't let the size fool you though they take absolutely 0 crap off of bigger chickens. I couldn't ask for a more intelligent, people friendly hen though and she's just really pretty to look at.

Found 2 more eggs in coop at lockup for a total of 6. One found under roost at 5am yesterday, 3 good eggs at 9am and a soft shell and a good egg at lockup. So 4/5 yesterday.
3/5 so far today. GC

@Chickassan I bought three birds at auction about a month ago not quite laying age two are sexling but the number is just like yours there what color are the legs please she lays brown eggs

The legs on the bird in the picture are yellow and she lays brown,i guess about the size of a large store egg which is a small homegrown egg.

2/5 again. I mis-identified my new layer - it's the Golden Laced Wyandotte, not the BA, who has had nice red comb/wattles for 2 months now, but still no eggs.
