How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I love the gray colored eggs. What breed lays those?

I got 8 eggs today. We barely had snow flurries today. Just a few little flakes swirling around.

21 tonight 7 inches of snow. lol. tough being a chicken...

My girls don't go out in snow if there is much of it. But when there is I have to run the blower down between the barns to get to their door so they usually do have some outdoor space without much snow. And to get the garden tractor back up to the front I have to go behind the barn and make a cul de sac to turn around. Tractor doesn't back up any sort of hill in snow AT ALL, the blower is too heavy. Plus, I wouldn't bet on it backing up a hill in any amount of snow even without the blower. And yes there are chains on the rear wheels and a 50# weight on the back.

Yeah, we got around 5". My girls tootsies get cold, so they don't like to walk on snow, even just a dusting.
I shoveled this morning and the sun is shining bright.
I entice them out by tossing out some seeds. . . 4/5 eggs today. GC

My girls lay eggs like #4 and #5 in the front row and #2 in the back row. I don't think ive ever seen a gray egg.

Old girl penny is working on a new nugget now. went to give a treat( left over mac-n-Cheese) and she never came down. She loves it so I opened the nesting door and put some on a bowl for her for when she is done.

I have a BI "Mauve" who was sitting on the nest, and I asked her if she had any eggs yet this morning, an she said "no." And she was right.
